How to Report an Employer

In the world of employment, it's an unfortunate reality that sometimes things don't always go smoothly and a situation can turn negative. Employees may encounter situations where they face discrimination, harassment, wage disputes, and other workplace issues. When these issues can not be resolved between the employee and the company, the employee may need to file a complaint with the appropriate provincial or federal agency so they can conduct an investigation and seek a resolution on your behalf. 

If you have experienced an issue with an employer that you believe was in violation of your rights, and you have not been able to resolve the matter directly with the employer, your next step may be to file a complaint in the employer's province. Below, you will find a list of agencies in every province that has individual instructions on how to report issues related to discrimination, harassment, wage/hour disputes, and workplace safety. Locate the province where you are / were employed, click on the link for the appropriate agency, and follow their instructions on how to initiate a claim.
